Our adult Sunday school program consist of what we call LifeChange classes. These classes fall into three categories designed to help our adults grow in their relationship to the Lord, and in spiritual maturity.
- Christian Living – Courses that will cover what it means to be a Christian in a secular world, and how to live out your faith in the various aspects of your everyday life.
- Biblical Literacy –Courses that are designed to help you get to know your Bible better, and to strengthen your understanding of its message.
- Spiritual Leadership –These courses will focus on spiritual leadership in the home, the church, and in ministry.
Each quarter we offer a course in each of these areas of spiritual growth. Our current classes beginning in March 2010 are:
Christian Living:
How to Share Your Faith: Bringing Hope to the World Around You – Feeling unsure about witnessing? Dealing with guilt because you feel inadequate or ill equipped? You’re not alone. This class can help change your guilt and uncertainty into joy, as you become a radiant witness for Christ. Learn principles that will train you to prepare to witness, to witness effectively, to use God’s word effectively, and to be open to the leading of the spirit. Teacher: Pastor Dan Drake
The Truth Project – This is a 24-week course beginning in December and ending the last Sunday of May. Do you really believe what you believe is really real? The primary purpose of this study is to facilitate spiritual transformation for believers by exposing them to the absolute truth of God. Such transformation inevitably occurs when a person comes face-to-face with God Himself. Join us as Dr. Del Tackett leads this tour into the beauty and splendor found as we gaze into the face of God. Biblical Literacy:
The Book of Romans – (Ladies Only Class) As the flagship to a fleet of Pauline letters,Romans has had a distinct impact on Christianity throughout history. Augustine,Luther, Wesley, and many others have pointed to Romans as the book God used to change their lives. Experience the same powerful book as Paul takes you through the most systematic presentation of theology in all of scripture! Teacher:Joan Reynolds
Spiritual Leadership:
Journey with Joshua: Serving and Leading with Confidence – Joshua must have been a little nervous as the new leader of Israel following the successful life of Moses. However, God had prepared him especially for the task ahead. Joshua found that he could be just as successful a servant leader as Moses, as he followed and obeyed the commands of God, even in a time of war! You will be encouraged as you learn how God used this obedient man, and can use you, in a great way. Teacher: Ed Casey
